Prolonged used of computers and tablets means that we spend more and more time in awkward positions commonly resulting in lower back, neck and arm pain.

Poor and prolonged posture leads to static loading and eventual fatigue and discomfort. Common problems arising from a poor workstation set up include:

  • Nerves impegement syndromes

  • Rotator cuffs tears

  • Adhesive capsulitits / Frozen shoulders

  • Carpal Tunnel syndrome

  • Tennis’ elbow / Golfer’s elbow

  • Tendonitis

  • Anterior head carriage / headaches

  • Upper cross syndrome

  • Eye stain and irritation

  • Fatigue / poor concentration

  • Arm / neck / back aches.

As musculoskeletal specialists, osteopaths can help alleviate and treat your conditions within a few sessions.

Why is ergonomics so important?

  • It enables you to adapt your working environment to fit your specific needs.

  • All people are different. It provides you with a comfortable working environment in which to be productive.

As qualified DSE (Display Screen Evaluation = workstation) assessors, we are experts in musculoskeletal injury prevention and can help office workers find a balance and harmless way of working. We:

  • have the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently carry out a DSE workstation assessment.

  • appreciate the requirements of the DSE Regulations and understand the potential problems caused by DSE work; how they are caused and what can be done to rectify them.

  • possess the skills needed to correct problems immediately or to record actions required and assess their priority for later rectification.

  • be able to answer queries from people being assessed.

Following an ergonomic assessment, we make cost effective practical recommendations that will enable you to prevent and/or solve most of your problems. Our focus is to allow you to stand alone in the management of musculoskeletal injuries in the future once a holistic solution has been implemented.

Applicable fees are established on an individual basis depending on the location and number of assessments involved. Please contact us with your details and we will endeavour to answer your request as soon as possible.
